Sources: TGC Trying To Trade Young Pieces To T4G For Platt And A Future 1st-Rounder

Breaking News.

Rumors and reports have been coming fast, and it continued Tuesday afternoon.  The Daily Cherub has confirmed that The Gospel Coalition is extremely interested in dealing for David Platt.

According to multiple sources at TGC, not only have their writers and speakers – including stars Tim Keller and Jared C. Wilson – been reaching out to Platt directly and through back channels over the last five days to gauge his interest, but those pastors liked what they heard back from T4G’s’ headliner.

One of the sources indicated that Platt would even push his front office to get the deal done, which is a huge change of direction for David, who has told Mark Dever numerous times over the last year that he didn’t want to be traded.

Multiple sources indicate that TGC is willing to part with up-and-comers Trevin Wax and Stephen Nichols, as well as savvy veteran Paul Tripp if it means they will acquire a young, big-time talent to pair up with Matt Chandler.

Is T4G willing to part with a future first-rounder? .
