Presumably, David Platt, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board, has a ghost Twitter account that he uses to defend himself. It looks like he forgot to log out of @plattdavid and log into the fake one before replying to a critic.

Awkward!
The controversy started when David Platt recently posted this picture of himself preparing to earnestly devour a stack of tasty brown “rounds” on Instagram. The picture indicates how completely earnest he is, and how committed he is to the rounds. The pancakes look nice and brown and ready to eat, but only David knows the truth of the matter.

Grive Tankles, upon seeing the photograph of the earnest and serious Platt ready to scarf down the rounds, took to Twitter to express his concerns. “Platt cooked himself dozens of pancakes yesterday. I hope he cooked them all the way through and won’t overdue it with the syrup.”
This, apparently, prompted Platt to respond. Clearly intending to reply with a “burner account,” he tweeted, “believe me david knows what he’s doing. I’m sure he cooked them all the way through and put the perfect amount of syrup on the rounds.”
Whoa.
