Fresh off of a controversial NCAA Basketball National Championship game between the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the North Carolina Tar Heels, the whistle-happy referees quickly made their way to The Gospel Coalition National Conference in Indianapolis in hopes of ruining Kevin DeYoung’s workshop as well.

“The referees made the workshop all about themselves, even though it was about women and their roles within the church,” claimed Tanya Bowlingbriggenson of Pawnee, Indiana. “They just kept blowing into their whistles. Sometimes they would whistle because Kevin stammered or mumbled. Other times they would call technical fouls and inexplicably give out free throws.”
Those who attended the much-anticipated workshop with Kevin DeYoung left disappointed. “I was hoping for a good workshop. Instead, many of us fouled out or were tossed for misconduct.”
Witnesses told The Daily Cherub that the three referees left after they awarded Timothy Keller free throws and the ball back after DeYoung called too many timeouts.
