Some Evangelicals are excited about the new features found in Logos 8, which will implement 3D technology and the ability to use voice command on mobile devices. It isn’t the retail price or features, however, that is causing many to pump the breaks on pre-ordering the product this time around — it’s the fine print.
“We are excited to announce that Logos 8 will bring Biblical Places and Things to life by seamlessly incorporating Samsung’s 3D technology,” said Logos representative Grant Holdmeister in a statement to Christian News Today, failing to mention one important detail: those who purchase Logos 8 will have to adopt a miniature version of Kevin DeYoung, popular author, pastor, and contributor to The Gospel Coalition website.
“Adding another member to the family isn’t cheap. It’ll cost tens of thousands of dollars to provide for a miniature Kevin DeYoung. We just aren’t prepared for that,” claimed Pastor Rodney Moses of Camptown, Ohio.
Logos users have been willing to foot the bill for the newest installment of the franchise in the past, but perhaps they’ve gone too far.
