Darling: This Army Vet Experienced A Flashback During An Aggressive Reading Of Psalm 139

Success!...

Curtiss Salad-Nuñez of Hope Nazarene Church in Santa Valdez, New Mexico received quite the flashback last Sunday morning due to an aggressive and punchy reading of Psalm 139. The church responded by simply comforting him with a folding chair, some snacks, and blankets.

Beautiful!

“Curtiss spent two years in Afghanistan fighting the war on terror with great honor. We’re so grateful for his service to us,” Delta Binsbins told us, who is a member of New Hope. “Unfortunately, because our pastor read Psalm 139 with great fury and aggression, Curtiss had some flashbacks. We immediately sprang into action.”

Delta told us how they handled the emergency while she chomped a corndog. “I called 0 and told the operator what had happened. He told me to shower him with a buffet of snacks and a hot, scratchy blanket.”

Pastor Greefnickel was thankful for the quick response of his congregation.

“The flashbacks were average flashbacks, so we immediately showered him with Gardettos, pizza rolls, and a hot blanket made of ox pelt. We had it under control,” Pastor Richard Greefnickel said. “I knew that I was reading Psalm 139 too aggressively and with too much force once he began flashing back to another more dangerous time. Thankfully our deacons immediately swooped in.”
